FAQ's:
Do I need support brackets for my granite countertops?
This is what one expert says: If your granite is 2 cm thick, you need supports for anything over 6" of unsupported span. If it's 3 cm or more, you need supports for anything over 10" of unsupported span. So, if you have a 2 cm countertop with a 15" overhang, you'll need at least a 9" long support on the countertop.
How many support brackets do I need?
This is a hard question since everyone has their own opinion. I would first ask my granite or solid surface countertop installer what they recommend. If that's not an option, maybe call an installer near you.
How long will it take to get my order?
Your brackets will be fabricated in 7-10 days and then shipped UPS ground from Austin, TX. Here is a map of how long it will take to get to you: UPS ground map
Can I return my brackets?
If you order a standard 10x10 bracket (or a standard 3x12 hidden bracket), you can return brackets via UPS ground for a refund minus a 20% restocking fee. If you order a custom size bracket, they are non-returnable. We do not refund shipping costs.
How heavy duty are these and how are they made?
They are custom made to order. We start with 1/4" steel. We cut them, bend them and cut holes in them using a 55 ton Ironworker. Then we finish them to your choice. Most hardware stores do not sell anything this heavy duty.
